Abulu create a space where rhythm, message and performance connect with the audience
Formed by seasoned musicians Jon Ustarroz (guitar) and Pau Iborra (drums), Abulu first made its mark by reinterpreting funk and rock classics. Their tight, explosive live chemistry still defines the band's performances today.
The arrival of vocalist Lucia Fernandez marked a turning point. Her powerful, soul-infused voice carries engaged lyrics, giving emotional depth to music designed as much to move bodies as to spark reflection.
Since 2023, with bassist Andrea Ceglia and keyboardist Francesco Sicurella joining the lineup, Abulu has expanded its sonic palette. Blending vintage textures rooted in a rich 60s/70s/80s heritage while embracing a contemporary vision, the band creates eclectic, dynamic compositions that speak to dancers and attentive listeners alike.
Fully independent and proud to represent the Belgian music scene, they write, record and produce their own music. Their debut album, Out Of The Rain, is now promoted through immersive live shows that celebrate rhythms, dynamics and feeling, making each show an unforgettable journey.
